These terms govern your use of Shorecast, the weather, forecast and tide dashboard at shorecast.ai (previously weather.aidev.nz). By creating an account or using Shorecast, you agree to these terms.

Shorecast is operated by AI Developments New Zealand Limited (NZBN 9429048543606, company number 8087880), a company registered in New Zealand with its registered office at 361 Kaiikanui Road, RD 1, Hikurangi 0181, New Zealand.

Using Shorecast

You may use Shorecast for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use it in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.

Your account

Accounts are created by invitation or self registration. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.

Submitting your details

When you create an account and enter your details into Shorecast, you give AI Developments permission to add those details to our database and to use them for marketing and research purposes, in addition to providing the service. You can ask us to stop sending you marketing communications, or to remove your details, at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

You confirm that any information you submit is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it.

Weather information

Forecasts, tide predictions and warnings shown in Shorecast are derived from third-party models and are provided for general information only. They are not a substitute for official warnings or professional advice, and you should not rely on them where safety of life or property is at stake.

Intellectual property

All content in Shorecast - including text, graphics, logos, and design - is owned by or licensed to AI Developments and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our permission.

No warranties

Shorecast and its content are provided "as is". While we take care to keep the information accurate and current, we make no warranties that it is complete, current, or error-free, and nothing in this app constitutes professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Developments will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Shorecast.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
